In our first article, the beginning of everything😊 I will share the most basic tricks that I learned, applied and turned into a skill about communication:

1. Verbal Communication: My most important suggestion regarding verbal communication in corporate life (especially if you are in communication with the senior level) is to answer a question asked to you 100% and clearly in the first sentence. If the subject has a story, past, future, etc., you can add them with the necessary dose of empathy… but when you are asked a question, what is the full answer in the shortest sentence? concentrate on it. If you need a story.

2. Written Communication: The first thing in written communication: We should pay attention to how I can express this subject in the shortest possible way. After writing, go back to the beginning and remove unnecessary sentences, repetitive unnecessary explanations and words.

If you want to share a topic and ask for approval or support, explain why you are writing this article directly in the first line. Next, summarize the background of the subject in one paragraph. Share what you need from now and what are your suggestions for the future.
And make it clear again what kind of support you expect in the last line. If you have a time limit for the answer, be sure to include it.
3. Communication with Customers: Of course, it is very important to act according to your character traits… Analytical, driver, expressive, friendly or colors etc… However, ideally, manage 40-50% of the time you share with your customer and stakeholder in a way that leaves room for your customer to speak, appropriate ask questions. Many studies show that if you do not do this, it is unlikely that the other party will feel understood and well.

4. Communication in Important Presentations: First of all, do some breathing exercises beforehand, if necessary, in order to maintain a relaxed attitude. Make sure that your mood will pass 100% to the other side.
Your work may have gone wrong that day, you may be stressed, never start the presentation by talking about them. Make the other party and yourself comfortable. Don't forget to smile during the presentation.

Beyond that, never go into the effort and rush to express all or all the details of the slides you have prepared, your achievements. You may have prepared 10-20 Slides, but the goal is not to tell all of them… use the time comfortably and harmoniously without stressing the other side, and try to give only the main story and 3 basic messages that you have determined before. And finally, make sure to take the time to allow the other party to ask questions and make comments, even at the most narrow time.

Last sentence: The basis of all communication is empathy. More importantly than what you want to say, what you want to say is to be able to perceive what the other party is curious about or what they want to talk about and adapt yourself accordingly.
