Güldem Berkman

Güldem Berkman was born in Istanbul in 1969 as the youngest of three sisters. She graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Chemical Engineering in July 1991.

During her career, she attended 4 certificate programs at Harvard University and 1 certificate program at Insead. Since 1991, she has worked at Radiometer, Eczacıbaşı P&G, DanoneSA, her own company and Novartis respectively. Since 1 July 2017, she has been working as Managing Director of Amgen Turkey and Gensenta. Turkey's most successful leaders under the age of 40 in 2008, was selected by Capital Magazine. Yet every year since 2008, she is among the 50 most powerful women in Turkey.

While continuing her professional career, she has served as the President of the Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (AIFD), Vice President of YASED International Investors Association (YASED), Vice President of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Advisory Board of many non-governmental organizations and companies.

Her most important values are honesty, perseverance, family and loved ones, continuous improvement and finding meaning. Her favorite quote; Nothing is as beautiful and pleasant or difficult and bad as it seems from afar.

Mrs. Berkman is married with one child.
