Entering a new era: The age of Biology

By the way I missed 2 articles, I will quickly come to the 22nd week👍🏻

Actually, I am going on a timeline, but before moving on to my third job and what I learned, I want to share my personal insights about the future of health right after my speech today.

First of all, we have entered a period in which we live the golden age of biology.

Biology Era...

With the introduction of the human gene map in 2000, a huge door was opened for huge developments in diseases and treatment methods. So, what will this bring?

Conceptually 3 main changes:

1. When we say health management, we understand the management of the disease, we will understand “staying healthy” very soon.

2. Currently, we have a very reactive attitude towards health. When something goes wrong in the body, we try to repair them, whereas from now on we will be proactive to prevent health from deteriorating.

3. Our knowledge about our health is very intermittent, soon we will have a much more continuous information.

We will witness the transition of these conceptual changes to action in 3 dimensions; 1. Guess and prevent: Thanks to gene maps, applications that summarize our way of living (walking, sleep, nutrition) and health information (heart rhythm, sugar level, etc.) and improvements in microbiology, we will be able to predict and prevent diseases in advance. 2. Diagnosis: We will be able to meet with our doctors in digital environments, and we will be able to diagnose diseases very quickly when they occur in the body thanks to wearable and body-mounted technologies and artificial intelligence (AI). 3. Treatment: Thanks to personalized and smart drugs, we will be able to receive more targeted and personalized treatments. Thanks to 3D printing, the skin will be ready for use in many joints, organs and lines, and the flow of information to the physician will not be interrupted during treatment, but the routine will continue. I actually have a lot to say personally on these issues. But I tried to summarize here briefly. In my opinion, good developments beyond our dreams are waiting for us with the help of a better understanding of biology. Thanks to my job, I am very proud to be a part of these developments. I wish all of us healthy and peaceful lives.
