Knowledge to Knowhow 4

Knowhow 4

The concept I want to talk about today is time and its management.
When we first started working, the first training we received was time management and then project management 😄 I think that very few people manage these concepts that seem to be the first step… To be fair, I must add that; The saying “wherever the front wheel goes, the rear wheel goes” is very valid in companies when it comes to time management. If the head of the company is CEO/GM/boss whatever his title is, he is determined and willing to stay in the office from 08.00 to 22.00 in the morning 😄 it is very difficult for all the sub-teams working with him to manage time. I suggest you give appropriate feedback because time is our most precious asset, it should not be used rudely…

Back to the subject;
There are many time management techniques with names. The leading ones are Pomodoro, Kanban, Eisenhover techniques. These three techniques, respectively; Pomodoro; taking a conscious break between studies, Kanban; and Eisenhover suggests using a matrix on the urgent and important axes. Honestly I don't use any of these😊

There is a fourth technique: taking notes! (my addition: and prioritizing and following these notes in a highly structured way) that's what I reflexively use. Tactics I use around note-taking:
To set limits like concrete at the beginning and end of the day.
To set limits like concrete at the beginning and end of the meetings. In December of each year, to set all the meetings of the next year as much as possible, to minimize spontaneous meetings.
To focus on the work you do and the meeting you attend and moderate it whenever necessary. I can say that looking at the computer or messages etc. is one of the things that annoys me the most 😄
Seeing all business and private life agendas in a single agenda. If life is one, it should be one on the agenda 😊 and my child's school meeting should be as important as a meeting at work...

I set these criteria in time management when I left the company where I was working at 8:00 am and 11:00 pm in 2001 and said that I would work this way from now on because we cannot call it life otherwise… As you can see, I have had a career that can be considered quite successful. In my opinion; superficial, unfocused work, the necessity of being present before the boss leaves the office (waiting for the tekke, drinking the soup🙄), long meetings to appear busy and doing business, very old model. The only thing that matters is how passionately, efficient, focused and effective you can manage your work...

I wish you to work in companies with values that will accept your style😊🙏🏻🍀
